Fire Medic Mario Soto

On June 3, 2019 while off duty and having breakfast at a local restaurant Fire Medic Mario Soto noticed another patron in the restaurant in distress and offered his assistance.  He performed an assessment and found no pulse and only agonal breathing.  Fire medic Soto immediately moved the patron to the floor and began CPR until Fire Rescue units arrived.  Fire Medic Soto’s quick actions played a vital role in the return of ROSC prior to the patron leaving the scene.

Fire medic Soto joined Plant City Fire Rescue on August 7, 2017 as a Firefighter, he achieved the position of Fire Medic in October of 2018 and has shown exceptional abilities in patient care.
