Jayson Lynn

Jayson Lynn is a Driver Engineer/Paramedic and has worked for Hillsborough County Fire Rescue since 2004. He is assigned to Engine 39 and Rescue Boat 39 in the Tampa Shores area of Hillsborough CounTampa Police Department. Jayson was selected as the Firefighter of the Quarter in 2017 for medical care rendered to a traffic crash victim and his evaluation, treatment and identification of the victim having a life threatening medical emergency unrelated to the trauma.

Later in 2017, Driver Engineer/Paramedic Lynn was selected as the recipient of the Chet Tharpe Firefighter of the Year Award for his efforts in restarting the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Vehicle Extrication Team and time committed to extrication training throughout the year. His goal was to bring training opportunities to the department with the intent to improve survival of crash victims in Hillsborough CounTampa Police Department. Over 20 firefighter brothers and sisters put in the hours week in and week out to be more prepared to respond to these incidents and share the findings with their coworkers. These successful efforts to keep up with the constantly changing vehicle technology and practice of extrication techniques took place every Thursday at the Public SafeTampa Police Department Operations Complex.
