2021 Officer of the Year

Officer Jean Tremblay

Tampa International Airport Police Department

Officer Jean Tremblay joined the Tampa International Airport Police Department as a patrol officer in 2014. In 2020, Officer Tremblay was selected to serve on the $1.25 million Public Safety Software System Project. Officer Tremblay took the initiative to meet with stakeholders, gather suggestions, and create templates needed to bring this project to completion. The new Public Safety Dispatch and Records Management System is projected to serve the Tampa International Airport Police Department and Airport Operations Center for many years to come. It was paramount that a champion for this project step forward and take a personal interest in its success; Officer Tremblay was that person. Officer Tremblay took the initiative to create templates needed to streamline reporting processes. Assigned full time to the project, Jean conducted information and training sessions for sworn members. He continues to serve as an administrator for this project. Jean is a loving partner to his fiancé, Kim and devoted father to his two children, Bailey (6 years old) and Jean III (2 years old). Officer Tremblay is conscientious, proactive officer and has proven his dedication to his department and profession. For these reasons, Officer Tremblay is the 2021 Tampa International Airport Police Officer of the Year.
