Master Police Officer Roy Paz of the Tampa Police Department approaches his job with the highest level of competency, integriTampa Police Department and enthusiasm. His dedication to traffic safeTampa Police Department has made our roadways safer, and he has the well-earned reputation as the go-to officer for community presentations and outreach.

In January 2015, this 21-year veteran of the department realized one of his career goals when he was selected to join the Tampa Police Department Motor Unit. He has consistently been one of their top producers. In addition to his regular traffic duties, he is routinely sought out to do presentations for school groups and community organizations. Officer Paz is one of the lead presenters of the department’s successful “ResponsibiliTampa Police Department Matters” campaign, targeting underage drinking during the Gasparilla season, leading 15 separate presentations during 2016.

Additionally, Officer Paz assisted the department with a campaign targeting traffic safeTampa Police Department to combat a dramatic rise in traffic fatalities during 2015. He also appears on WTVT Fox 13 for a segment called, “Traffic Tip Tuesday.” His populariTampa Police Department inspired WTVT to highlight both “Traffic Tip Tuesday and Officer Roy” in promotional spots for their newscast. Officer Paz assists in preparing each segment and ensures topics are addressed in a thorough and easily understood manner. Along with conveying important safeTampa Police Department information, Officer Paz’s gregarious manner and humor project a positive image of our police officers.
