Since he began working with the Temple Terrace Police Department Police Department in 2001, Senior Police Officer Douglas Fowler has exemplified the organization’s core values of Honor, Courage and Commitment. SPO Fowler has consistently demonstrated exemplary performance in all areas of police work and more importantly strives to help the community in which he serves.

During the 2014-2015 calendar year SPO Fowler has shown that he is extremely attentive to the crime trends within his assigned zone and is proactive in ensuring that these trends are deterred or prevented. This past year he conducted 345 Crime Prevention / Vacation Watches, 142 Directed Patrols, and issued over 820 Crime Prevention Cards to the citizens of Temple Terrace. These actions were conducted with the specific purpose of reducing crime and victimization of these same citizens. Through his continued efforts SPO Fowler has demonstrated exceptional commitment to his profession and the citizens that he serves.

Doug is married, has two children, and also serves his community as the associate pastor of his church.
